Founding meeting

Our initial organizational meeting was held on Wed July 2nd at the East Asheville Library. Approximately 15 folks were in attendance. After introductions were made discussion focused on establishing an effective way for new and existing members to stay in contact as a group and best post upcoming gatherings and activities.

Two suggestions came under discussion: setting up a Meetup group or establishing a website for the group.
It has since been decided to use a website for those purposes. Additionally, suggestions were made for the types of activities desired. These included: restaurant lunches, potlucks, movies, concerts, game afternoons, trivia, hiking, with willingness for additional suggestions.
